LiveCoda Images
Muppet ESCI Labs (okay, so it is a cupboard in the ICT building). Four eMacs to be used
by programmers, iBook laptop used to construct visualization which is sent to
an LCD projector and an old pentium monitoring the laptop. Swap the old pentium
for an IBM laptop and you have the setup used for LiveCoda.
ESCI Visualization Screen Mock-Ups. Left shows corrupted image with one channel
flipped vertically and a second channel inverted. The right shows the fixed
image. Four boxes display code modifications made by the the four programmers.
Error messages are left at the top of the screen. Note that the code shown does
not actually create an output image to be displayed. LiveCoda requires RGB
values between 0 and 255 printed to standard out in ascii for a 256 by 256
pixel image.
ESCI LiveCoda Photos by Marcus, showing basic
setup, Hot Coffee in action and some other team (let me know if its you).
ESCI LiveCoda Photos by Ben, showing
Unix Tools, Martinis All Round and the audience inspecting the final result.
